Matt, it's been /so/ long since our last meetup I was surprised to see hair on your account pic. Something that needs fixing (lack of meeting, not the hair ;)

Thanks!

I don't think wordpress.com lets me install arbitrary plugins, though it seems to support acting as an OpenID provider by default. I assume you want it to let you use your LiveJournal ID to post here, which I would expect to work but can't test.

FYI, wordpress.com offers an export function which dumps everything as XML (including comments).

Great to have you in the blogosphere, now you can start using other pointless buzzwords like "glocalism" and "wikization"

Also, get the OpenID plugin if you can.

Ooh, I just noticed your blog for the first time, glad you started doing it. You often convey great ideas in mailing lists and IRC, and I hope that you get more of them into your blog, since it will make it more accessible to so many people (and more Google-friendly too).

Most decent blogging software can slurp your posts up via RSS, so that shouldn't be a problem. I quite like Wordpress myself, but I prefer to self-host it on my own domain rather than use a wordpress.com account.
